Turns out that there is actually an underlying cause &#8211; I had some routine bloodwork done on Thursday, and I&#8217;m apparently anemic.  I guess this isn&#8217;t an uncommon pregnancy issue, which is why they test for it around now.  It does explain a lot&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>But the extra iron supplements my doctor suggested really haven&#8217;t helped much.  (Granted, I&#8217;ve only taken them for a couple of days so far, maybe it&#8217;s cumulative?)  I took a two-hour &#8220;nap&#8221; this afternoon (can you call it a nap when it&#8217;s that long?) and I still feel like I could go back to sleep for another two &#8211; or more &#8211; hours.<\/p>\n<p>This is not helping me get anything at all done.  Even ignoring the dog fur tumbleweeds and layers of dust, I have no energy to cook, or knit, or blog.  Just the thought of trying to get the nursery in order is too much energy.  I hope this gets better soon, or baby is going to come home to a room with ugly striped wallpaper, a weight bench, and random furniture and other stuff that&#8217;s accumulated in there over the last five years.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;ve just been totally wiped out this week.
