So how did I do on my September goals?  Let&#8217;s see:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Finish the <a href=\"\/crafts\/index.shtml?marihone\">ladybug sweater<\/a> &#8211; possibly including knitting the matching hat.  <i>The sweater is done, the hat is cast on.<\/i><\/li>\n<li>Finish <a href=\"\/crafts\/index.shtml?candycorn\">Devan<\/a> &#8211; again, possibly including knitting a matching hat and\/or socks.  <i>The sweater and socks are done.  The hat is awaiting the needles currently being used for the ladybug hat.<\/i><\/li>\n<li>Start and finish the October cross-stitch  <i>Done!<\/i><\/li>\n<li>Finish embroidering the <a href=\"\/crafts\/index.shtml?ornaments\">felt Christmas ornaments<\/a> I started way back when.  <i>Done!<\/i><\/li>\n<li>And if I can find yarn for it, I really want to make a <a href=\"\/crafts\/index.shtml?jaynehat\">Jayne hat<\/a> (or two?) for the premiere of Serenity.  <i>Done!<\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The October challenge is a little different &#8211; we&#8217;re supposed to pick one &#8220;scary&#8221; project from our UFO pile and finish that.  Here&#8217;s mine: the <a href=\"\/crafts\/index.shtml?blanketPoncho\">blanket poncho from heck<\/a>.  I can&#8217;t decide what to do with it, though &#8211; see the <a href=\"\/crafts\/index.shtml?blanketPoncho\">project page<\/a> for my options.  And I do have several other goals for this month:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Finish the ladybug hat<\/li>\n<li>Finish the Devan hat<\/i><\/li>\n<li>Start and finish the November cross-stitch <\/li>\n<li>Finish <a href=\"\/journal\/archives\/000718.shtml\">a scarf I started last January<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Make a small birthday gift<\/li>\n<li>Make a dent in the Christmas projects<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\nSo&#8230;the chances of finishing my scary project are sort of small &#8211; but the list is scary, so that counts, right?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The September Challenge is over, and the October Challenge has begun!
