It’s been a while since I posted any of the silly things my kids say.\u00a0 I feel a bit sad, because all of the adorable learning language things that I made note of with Carolyn, have been lost for Anna.\u00a0 But, all is not quite lost – she still comes out with mispronunciations and silly things now and then.\u00a0 So, without further ado…<\/p>\n

Heard Friday at the pool:<\/p>\n

My brother (Dan) and my sister-in-law (Genevra) were over swimming.\u00a0 All afternoon: “Uncle Dad! Aunt Ge-evra! Look, I’m pedaling around the pool!” (She can definitely say ‘n’ sounds, so I’m not quite sure where Uncle Dad came from.\u00a0 And Aunt Ge-evra is just adorable!)<\/p>\n

Also.\u00a0 Carolyn has a pair of “gobbles”.\u00a0 You know, the things that keep water out of your eyes in the pool?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

And then this afternoon at the library:<\/p>\n

Little Girl: “Hi!\u00a0 What’s your name?”
\nAnna: “Anna.”
\nLittle Girl’s Dad: “Alma?\u00a0 That’s a nice name.”
\nAnna: “No, Anna. ‘A’, ‘n’, ‘n’, ‘n’, ‘a’!”<\/p>\n

Um.\u00a0 Well, I suppose Annna would sound just about the same as Anna.\u00a0 Looks a bit odd.\u00a0 But, it’s still a palindrome!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
