Another cutie!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>And then the highlight for the girls&#8230;the one-room schoolhouse.\u00a0 They were enchanted!\u00a0 First they played being students.\u00a0 Then they took turns being the teacher.\u00a0 Anna read all the numbers on the number line on the desks.\u00a0 Carolyn read all the school rules and the lesson plans.\u00a0 Then they wanted me to be the teacher.\u00a0 Even better?\u00a0 There was a bell to ring!\u00a0 (Thankfully the rope ended at adult height.\u00a0 Someone planned that well.)<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_3331\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Just such a lovely place!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>We had a nice lunch and went on a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amishbuggyrides.com\/\">buggy ride<\/a>.\u00a0 It was really more of a horse-drawn wagon with a roof, but it went through some incredibly beautiful countryside.\u00a0 And the girls got to sit up front with the driver and kept everyone entertained with their commentary on all the little white butterflies and the cows in the fields.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_3340\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3340\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption class=\"wp-caption-text\">A farm and a cornfield on a perfect day.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Unfortunately, the buggy ride went longer than we expected &#8211; the horses were tired and couldn&#8217;t be coaxed into going very quickly &#8211; so we didn&#8217;t make it to the pretzel factory tour.\u00a0 We still stopped there to get some pretzels to eat, though.\u00a0 We had a
